Touring Japan – first stop: Tokyo

A few words (and pictures) about our tour in Japan (Oct 2014). I call it Planet Japan because this country is out of this world, and I’m saying this in a good way. Lovely people, in an extremely clean country where you can find culture, history as well as the latest hi-tech all around. Japan can be compared with a Swiss watch that works perfectly. At least this is what we saw during the 10 days we’ve toured it.

We had a JR pass (bought it online from http://www.japan-rail-pass.com/) and it’s worth every penny. The train journey is an experience that can’t be missed.

We’ve stayed 2 nights in Tokyo (Air Bnb), 3 nights in Kyoto (Itoya Guesthouse), 1 night in Nara (Iki Guesthouse), one night in Hiroshima (Parc View Hotel) and at the end, one more night in Tokyo (Oakhostel Zen).

We’ve been to Tokyo before so this time we’ve only visited the beautiful garden Rikugi-en, Happo-en (if you want to see the stunning traditional outfit for a bride and groom, this is the place to go to) and then we’ve spend the rest of the time in Shinjuku.
